Theodore and Olive Jewellery on BBC Radio London
A Day at BBC Radio London
On 14th August, I had the pleasure of being invited into BBC Radio London to talk about Theodore & Olive Jewellery, how I became a jewellery maker, and the story behind the business.
Being able to sit in the studio and share my journey was incredibly special, a moment I’ll always remember.
How It All Began
I shared how, after losing my dad, I found myself spending time in his old workshop surrounded by his tools. One day I found his old Dremel, ordered some silver, and decided to have a go at making jewellery.
After taking some jewellery making lessons, what started as something that brought me comfort slowly grew into Theodore & Olive.
The Heart Behind the Jewellery
Losing Dad made me realise just how powerful memories can be, and that became a huge part of the jewellery I make today. I love creating nostalgic pieces that remind you of a person, a place, childhood, or simply the feeling of home.
It doesn’t always have to be about loss. Sometimes it’s the necklace you put on for your first day at university, something that makes you feel a little braver, or a tiny charm that takes you straight back to a happy memory.
A Moment to Remember
Being able to sit in the BBC Radio London studio and share the story behind Theodore & Olive was incredibly special.
A huge thank you to BBC Radio London for inviting me in and giving me the opportunity to tell my story. It’s a day I’ll always remember.
